Audiologists
Ruby Zubrod, M.S., CCC-A Ruby Zubrod joined Colorado West Otolaryngologists, P.C. in 2004 while completing her last clinical rotation for her graduate degree in audiology. She completed her Bachelors and Masters degrees at the University of Wyoming and is currently procuring her Doctorate of Audiology degree through Pennsylvania College of Optometry, School of Audiology. Ruby will complete her Doctorate of Audiology in 2010. Ruby holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, allowing her to be state and nationally certified to practice Audiology and dispense hearing aids in the state of Colorado. Ruby provides expertise in the areas of pediatric, infant, and adult behavioral and electro-acoustic diagnostic testing including Auditory Brainstem Response testing (ABR) and Electronystagmography (ENG/VNG). She provides in-depth evaluation for diagnosing and treating hearing loss as well as balance disorders. Ruby counsels on appropriate hearing aids and amplification devices, including assisted listening devices, hearing conservation through the use of hearing protection devices, and implantable amplification options. As Grand Junction's only Cochlear Implant and bone anchored hearing aids (BAHA) specialists, Ruby is able to identify cochlear implant and BAHA candidates and provide all programming and follow up needs of these special groups of patients. Ruby and her husband have lived in Grand Junction since 2004. They have just celebrated a new addition to their family, a little girl, in December of 2006. Ruby enjoys the outdoor activates that the western slope area provides, as well as relaxing at home on the weekends with her family. She and her husband look forward to their monthly trips home to Wyoming to allow her husband to fulfill his weekend guard duty with the Wyoming Air National Guard.
